Classes continue all summer long at their regular times, but team (level 1 Senior and up) switch to daytime hours starting Tuesday, May 31st. For those girls still at school, we are continuing evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday just for them. Pick up a schedule at the front desk.
The gym will be closed on Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day, and will re-open on Tuesday at 7.30am for summer day camps. Camps are for girls and boys, 3 to 14 yrs, and can be purchased on a half day, whole day or bulk buy basis. Pick up a postcard with all the details, at the front desk.
Olympic Camp for serious gymnasts takes place on June 26-30 with many visiting World & Olympic Champion coaches. All levels of team and class gymnasts are invited. Registration forms are at the front desk.
We will also have extra conditioning classes going on during the summer. Sign up on a daily basis, or for the whole summer. Younger kids with Melanie, older kids with Vlad.
Coach Diamond is excited to start “Inspired Dance Academy” right here in the Planet Gymnastics dance studio. She is introducing her program with Summer Princess Dance Camps on June 20-24th, with 2 hour camps during the day for different age groups, from 18 months to 13 yrs and up. Results: The Planet Gymnastics Team wrapped up a very successful season with a balance beam medal at Nationals by Sophia Hyderally, and 5 Regional Champions. Thanks to the Parents Association for the wonderful celebration banquet downtown. Team tryouts were very successful and we look forward to welcoming many new champions. Thanks also to everyone who turned out to support our official US Olympic Event, the Planet Mini Olympics. It was a wonderful night. Class students also received their achievement certificates and ribbons during the last week of May.
